Gregg Swain

Gregg Swain grew up in New York City, and quickly developed a love of art. She graduated from Smith College, in Northampton, MA, majoring in Art History. She earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Baylor University in Waco, TX. Gregg then practiced Psychology for a number of years, working with children and families. She later became involved with non-profit board, and other volunteer work, which became her focus.

Her latest area of interest is the art on Mahjong sets. She co-wrote Mah Jongg The Art of the Game, the first book to showcase the beautiful art created by craftsmen over the last hundred years. Gregg has lectured throughout the United States about Mah Jongg, and the images on the tiles. She has been interviewed on public radio stations, and by newspaper reporters. Gregg sits on the boards of Southern Vermont College, The Bronx Charter School for Better Learning, and The West Side YMCA in New York City.
